Mary Hare Charity Plants Fair

Tree.gif Mary Hare School is holding its very first Garden Festival on 22 June 2008, in support of the ‘Lepus Appeal‘ - The Mary Hare Information Centre for families of deaf children.If you are a gardener, whether you are a beginner or have a little more experience, or even if you just want to sample our home-made cake and a cup of tea, why not come along?
We’ll also have:Flower arranging - for a small donation children and adults can learn how to do an arrangement and take it homeCompost advice - talks and a ‘compost corner’A programme of speakers - we have a herbalist confirmed and others in the pipelineWild Flower Garden - a small area of the grounds that the pupils will plant up at Easter - supported by a local wild flower farm (seeds etc on sale)Mary Hare Plant stallOther stalls - pots/garden items etc

A tree tour of the grounds - we have some lovely trees in our 200 acres

Willow weaving

We’ll have a wheelbarrow ‘carry to the car’ service

Home made teas and cakes/scones

Strawberries and cream (we are licensed to sell alcohol so we may open our bar & offer champagne/sparkling wine with the strawberries)

Ice creams
