About

Edulis's conception was brought about by Paul Barney's desire to grow unusual edible plants, inspired by Permaculture. Hence, the original range were plants, that were primarily edible. With the growth of his landscaping, he also extended the range of plants that included many architectural & shady plants. In the plant hunting years that followed, the range increased dramatically, to include his collections from places like Chile, India, Ethiopia, Vietnam, China.

Today, the nursery sustains a range of plants that are of interest to many interested in growing the more unusual species & varieties. Recent medals at RHS Chelsea and RHS Hampton Court Flower Shows have reflected this. Paul always brings a tempting selection of the more unusual plants to the Rare Plant Fairs.
