Edulis
Edulis's conception was brought about by Paul Barney's desire to grow unusual edible plants, inspired by Permaculture. Hence, the original range were plants that were primarily edible. With the growth of his landscaping business, he also extended the range of plants that included many architectural & shady plants. In the plant hunting years that followed, the range increased dramatically, to include his collections from places like Chile, India, Ethiopia, Vietnam and China.
Today, the nursery sustains a range of plants that are of interest to many keen to grow the more unusual species & varieties. Recent medals at RHS Chelsea and RHS Hampton Court Flower Shows have reflected this. Paul always brings a tempting selection of the more unusual plants to the Rare Plant Fairs.
Over the last ten years Edulis Nursery has focused on shade loving plants and snowdrops. The website lists our large range of both that are available to order for collection at any Rare Plant Fairs we are attending.
