Mosaic Blooms
My mosaic blooms are made from vintage crockery and up-cycled ceramics often gifted to me by friends - I love the idea of using something that would otherwise be discarded and turning it into a cherished 'Mosaic Bloom'.
They blend beautifully in any flower bed, window box, pot or conservatory and can be left out all year round, bringing some colour during the months when everything has died back - they don't need to be covered with fleece or winterised! My blooms can be found all over the UK in so many different settings and have even travelled over to Spain and Norway.
I am often asked where the inspiration came from and I think it was from a failure to grow delphiniums, so I made my first bloom out of some blue crockery and placed it in the garden instead. Friends admired it and so 'Mosaic Blooms' began, and I have created many since starting back during the lockdown of 2020. Each bloom is original and inspired by the beauty of each flower that I have ever seen.
In 2024 I will be exhibiting for the first time with Rare Plant Fairs at Adwell House in Oxfordshire - please come along and see my collection.
