At Rare Plant Fairs we have always taken the security and privacy of your personal data very seriously. The data that we hold about individuals or groups has always been provided with their consent and is the minimum required to provide the requested service. We hold the following infomation:

For Individuals Subscribed to our E-mail Mailing List:

Your name and e-mail address. If you subscribed via signing up via one of our events, we also record the location of the event at which you signed up.

For Garden Clubs Subscribed to our E-mail Mailing List:

In addition to the details saved for individuals, we also record the name of the Club or Society

For Individuals Subscribed to our Postal Mailing List:

Your name, address and e-mail address (if supplied). If you subscribed via signing up via one of our events, we also record the location of the event at which you signed up.

For Garden Clubs Subscribed to our Postal Mailing List:

In addition to the details held for individuals, we also record the name of your Club, and the number of our leaflets that you requested that we send you.

How We Use Your Data

If you are subscribed to our e-mail mailing list, we will send you a newsletter at the start of the season with a reminder of the dates of all the season's Fairs, followed by further monthly newsletters during the Fair season. Exceptionally, we may also send e-mails if we have to make any major changes to the arrangements for an individual fair.  You can update your preferences at any time by using the link at the foot of each newsletter. Alternatively, should you decide in the future that our newsletters are not for you, you may unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of the newsletter e-mail.

Our e-mail mailings are managed via the online service Mailchimp, which is a highly respected provider of these services and is also fully compliant with EU and UK Data protection and Privacy regulations

If you are subscribed to our postal mailing list, we will send you a copy (or copies, as appropriate) of our leaflet by post at the beginning of the season. We currently send our postal mailshots via Whistl.

We do not share your information with any third parties, and will not use your data for purposes other than those described above without obtaining your prior consent.

Changing or Removing Your Data

If you are subscribed to our e-mail mailing list, you can change your preferences or unsubscribe by using the appropriate link at the foot of each e-mail newsletter. Alternatively, you can contact us by e-mail, telephone or post at any time using the details at the foot of this page.
